Finnish deerskin shoulder bag Rimma - Miiko
Genuine deerskin
Zipper on the top and a pocket for a cell phone inside
Beautiful, minimalistic design
Designed and manufactured in Finland
The soft, classically beautiful shoulder bags made by Miiko are made from the genuine skin of moose in the forests of the North. Deer hunting, which is regulated by law, provides durable leather that would otherwise end up as waste. The deerskin used in the Rimma bag and the bag itself are produced responsibly in Finland.
The moose leather is incredibly soft and the light bag lasts beautifully even with hard use. The reduced design of the bag brings out the genuine material beautifully.
Black Rimma shoulder bag with adjustable shoulder strap
Rimma is the autumn 2020 novelty in Miiko's bag selection. Rimma, which closes with a zipper on the top, is a great shoulder bag, which by adjusting the strap you can carry it on the shoulder, in a crossbody style or under the arm. Inside the bag there is a pocket for a mobile phone. The bag is comfortable to carry thanks to the wide strap.

Miiko's story
Miiko designs and manufactures wonderful Finnish products using soft deerskin, durable birch plywood and high-quality wool as materials. The selection includes deerskin bags and purses, kitchen and interior items and paper products. Under the leadership of designer Sanna Paak, products inspired by nature are created, with pure style, which are manufactured entirely in Finland. Sanna's beautiful and insightful design has been appreciated by e.g. Italian A'Design Award and Competition in the design competition, where the Väre pillow was awarded in 2016.
Sanna, the founder of Miiko, comes from a family with several generations of entrepreneurs. Sanna's grandfather and father have worked as shoe sellers, so leather is a natural material for Sanna to work with. Sanna's mother's side again comes with artistry and creativity. When these two skills were combined, Miiko was born. Today, Miiko also employs Sanna's four siblings, and with the strength and determination of these sisters, Miiko is taken forward from Tuusula.
